You Think Your Invincible But Then This Happens...

Last week in the studio has been pretty painful for me.   For some reason my lower back is hurting. Is it the exercise? Is it how I am sitting in the crappy studio chair? I don't know what the cause is but I am going INSANE! This needs to be corrected and PRONTO!!! Here's my chair.  I didn't buy it or anything.  It was being thrown out and so I rescued it.  I'm a sucker for old things.  I like things that have a history.   Guess I'm just nostalgic  or  something but if I replace the chair with a better one will it help my back? The Chair Somehow I relate this new back issue with getting ready to turn 46 (tomorrow) but nahhhhh.  This can't be it. Right? HA!  So if any of you readers out there have ANY suggestions PLEASE leave me a comment.  I'm desperate and have been on the web looking for chairs. I'm now back to doing my A and B salutations in yoga hoping it will help. In the meantime ...

South of the Border...Part Uno!!!

Over the next few days I will post about our journey south of the border to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.  There is so much I would like to share but I just do not know where to begin.   I guess I should start at the beginning, eh?   We went to San Miguel for two reasons the elevation and to visit our friend and artist Jesse Bert .   Waking up in San Miguel was absolutely beautiful.  The temperature was cool, as compared to our New Orleans heat in August, and I was finally taking a much needed break from summer.  There are clouds about but it is rainy season, and there were just sprinkles every now and then, not downpours. View from the roof of our room. First thing we did was EAT!  We ate at this  scrumptious  breakfast place called Cafeteria Los Bisquets.  Yuumm...I can taste it still. Me trying to understand what they were saying! Next thing was to send Sam (my Sweets) off on his running trail.  ...

What a Saturday...Can I have some more?

0600 hrs.   Get Baby Cakes and his buddy out the door for their sweat test run around the city and beyond. First and only cup of coffee.  Get studio organized...kind of. Take a break. Make 50K leather bracelet...take a break, and 100K leather bracelet while nursing Youthberry & Wildorange Blossom herbal tea.  Take another break. Listen to PodCasts by Rice (like Lisa but with an R) interviews with Artist Suzi Blu and Judy Wise and Stephanie Lee while breaking.  Daydream about all the cool things to make and about wearing a tutu. Thinking about signing up for an online workshop.  Oh the things one can do with plaster.  Still on break.   Plaster Studio Workshop Thinking about keeping this Doll from Amber Leilani instead of giving it away. Torch fire enamel earrings.  Yum...Raspberry. Three wrap leather bracelet for fund raiser. Eat Crawfish Bisque. Now entering Nirvana.   Nurse my soul mate after his 100K (62mi) run. ...
